Sister Kathleen Mary Hennessy, R.S.M., a  member of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, Mid-Atlantic, died on May 2. She was 85.

Sister Marcella Purpura, C.S.J., formerly known as Sister Mary Petrina, a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph for 68 years, died on April 11 at Stella Maris Convent.

Sister Mary Bonaventure Mackey, R.S.M., a member of the Sisters of Mercy, Mid-Atlantic Community for 79 years died on April 15, at Maria Regina Residence in Brentwood. She was 96.

Sister Mary Laboure Partridge, R.S.M., a member of the Sisters of Mercy, Mid-Atlantic Community, for 73 years, died on April 10, at McAuley Hall Health Care Center in Watchung, NJ. She was 91.

Sister Mary Mercedes Somma, R.S.M., a member of the Sisters of Mercy, Mid-Atlantic Community, for 69 years died on March 20, at Maria Regina Residence, Brentwood. She was 92.

Sister Ruth Borgersen, R.S.M., a member of the Sisters of Mercy, Mid-Atlantic, for 69 years, died on April 23 at Flushing Hospital. She was 87.

Michael A. Mallon, a Catholic Charities employee for over 20 years and a Eucharistic Minister at St. Columba Church parish, Marine Park, died on April 8. He was 55.

Deacon Carlos A. Martinez, who served at the Parish of All Saints-Our Lady of the Rosary of Pompeii, Williamsburg, died on April 19 due to COVID-19. He was 60.

Sister Patricia Murphy, C.S.J., formerly Sister Veronica Crucis, a member of the Congregation of St. Joseph for 65 years, died on April 9 at Maria Regina Residence.

Sister Winifred McKevitt, C.S.J., formerly, Sister Mary Bonaventure, “Bonnie,” a member of the Congregation of St. Joseph for 77 years, died on April 5, while on hospice care in Maria Regina Residence.
