Mr. Daniel Buckley, brother of Father Brendan Buckley OFM Cap., a priest of the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin (Franciscans), who is presently ministering as Pastor of St. Michael-St. Malachy, Brooklyn, died on June 26.
A wake was held at McLaughlin and Sons, Inc., Brooklyn, on June 30. His funeral Mass was offered on July 1 in St. Patrick’s Church, Bay Ridge, followed by burial in Calverton National Cemetery, Wading River.
Mrs. Mary Ann Chaffers, sister of Reverend John J. Garkowski, a retired priest of the Diocese of Brooklyn, who is presently residing at the Parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, South Ozone Park, died July 18, in Florida.
