Thomas A. DeStefano, retired Executive Director of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Brooklyn, died on April 24 from complications related to the coronavirus. He was 82.

Father William DeBiase, O.F.M., a professed Franciscan friar for 59 years and a priest for 54, died on April 11 at St. Ignatius Nursing Home, where he had lived since last year.

Reverend Adnel T. Burgos, a priest of the Diocese of Brooklyn, died on April 11 from heart failure possibly related to COVID-19. He was 57.

Francis Boccabella, III, a member of the Knights of Columbus Our Lady of Perpetual Help/Msgr. Flynn Council No. 17153, and a Youth Minister at Our Lady of the Presentation – Our Lady of Mercy Church in Brownsville, died on April 2. He was 39.

Deacon Emilio Arteaga, of St. Agatha parish, Sunset Park, passed away on April 10. He was 73.

Sister Anne Umbach, O.P., formerly Sister Marie St. John, a Sister of Saint Dominic of Amityville for 68 years, died on April 2. She was 86.
