Sister Winifred McKevitt, C.S.J.

Sister Winifred McKevitt, C.S.J., formerly, Sister Mary Bonaventure, “Bonnie,” a member of the Congregation of St. Joseph for 77 years, died on April 5, while on hospice care in Maria Regina Residence.

She entered the congregation in 1943 from the parish of St. Patrick’s, Queens. Sister Bonnie earned a BA degree in History
from St. Francis College and an MA in Education from the Catholic University of America. She was also the recipient of the Woman of Distinction Award for outstanding contributions to St. Johnѣs University, the community, and family life.

2003-2006.

Her burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Brentwood, after a private graveside prayer service.
