About 1,500 people participated in the annual Way of the Cross sponsored by Communion and Liberation on Good Friday. Services began at St. James Cathedral-Basilica, Downtown Brooklyn, where Cardinal Timothy Dolan and Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio participated. The congregation then marched to the Brooklyn Bridge and processed across to Manhattan, stopping along the way to observe the Stations of the Cross. The procession made its way to Ground Zero and eventually to St. Peter’s Church, Barclay St. (Photos by Ed Wilkinson)
