Passion in Long Island City

LIC2Hundreds of people took part in the Good Friday procession organized by Most Precious Blood Church, Long Island City. Thirty-eight men carried six statues representing various scenes from the passion of Christ.

Altar servers, children from the Faith Formation program and the parish communities carried Scripture and Station of the Cross banners, crosses and lanterns. During the procession the Stations of the Cross were prayed in several languages.

Father William Krlis, pastor of Most Precious Blood, led the procession. Pastor Paul B. Milholland of Trinity Lutheran Church led the fourth Station as the procession passed by the Lutheran church. (Photos: Ray Grech)
