Dear Editor: On behalf our chaplain, Msgr. Robert Romano, the board of officers, and the membership of the NYPD Brooklyn-Queens Holy Name Society, we would like to thank you for the excellent coverage of our annual Mass and Communion-Breakfast.
Over 1,000 members and their families were in attendance that day. It is such an inspiration to see our members in uniform with their families attending Mass together. Our faith is such an important part of not only our personal lives but in the job we to do in service to the citizens of New York.
As we march from Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Queens Village, in a parade to Antun’s, it is gratifying to see the many families along the route cheering for us.
St. Michael the Archangel, pray for all members of our society that they have a safe tour of duty and come home to their loved ones.
Once again, thank you for the coverage that The Tablet gives not only to the Holy Name Society, but also for the great coverage you give to the entire department throughout the year.
SGT. EDWARD J. CONROY
