Eileen M. Coen, 96, died on Feb. 28. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes, Queens Village, from 1924 to 1986. She was active in the Rosary and altar society and participated in a number of parish theater productions in the 1970s.

OL Lourdes Academy in Queens Village Is Closing

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Academy, Queens Village, will close at the end of this academic year. The announcement was made in a letter to parents, saying the action was being taken with “deep regret and profound sadness.”
