The Boys Class of January, 1957, from Holy Name of Jesus School in Windsor Terrace, held its 60th reunion May 24. Father Larry Ryan, Holy Name’s pastor, welcomed the men and offered his blessing upon them.

Twins Andrew and Anthony LaBarbara from Our Lady of Grace Catholic Academy in Gravesend, are headed to high school in Manhattan this fall.
Andrew was accepted into Xavier H.S., while Anthony is headed to Regis H.S. The boys are active parishioners at Our Lady of Grace, where they are altar servers and Boy Scouts, helping with all fundraising functions at the school and church.

Raymond Filoteo, a parishioner and former altar server at Immaculate Conception Church, Jamaica, earned his bachelor’s degree in aeronautical science this spring. He also successfully passed his exams with the Federal Aviation Administration and is now a licensed pilot.

St. Francis College in Brooklyn Heights is renaming its annual golf outing in memory of the college’s former president. The Brendan J. Dugan ’68 Memorial Meadow Brook Club Golf Outing will be held Tuesday, June 20 on the Meadow Brook Golf Course, Jericho, L.I.

This week, St. Joseph’s College announced its newly created educational partnership with Northwell Health.
As part of this partnership, the college will offer a discounted tuition rate to all Northwell Health employees who enroll for land-based education on either the Clinton Hill or Patchogue, L.I., campuses. Rashid Locario, a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Church in Bedford-Stuyvesant, has earned his bachelor’s degree in communications from St. John’s University, Collegeville, Minn., this spring.
An alumnus of Cristo Rey Brooklyn H.S., Rashid was a member of The Tablet’s 2012 All-Scholastic Team.
As a high-school student, he completed a work-study internship with DeSales Media Group and The Tablet. He distinguished himself as a dependable, hard-working young man who was always ready to share a smile or offer assistance.
