Dear Editor: During the month of October, we honored Our Lady, especially under the title of Our Lady of the Rosary. One Saturday, throughout our country, we were asked to publically show our devotion to Mary by reciting her Rosary. At least 100 parishioners from Mary Queen of Heaven parish showed their devotion as we processed around the church building reciting the Joyful Mysteries. Returning to the church, we were led by Father John Devaney, O.P., one of Pope Francis’ Missionaries of Mercy.

Following a brief talk on God’s mercy available to each of us if we only ask for it, we spent quiet time in adoration before the Blessed Sacrament followed by benediction.

I would like to thank Evelyn Audouin for arranging such a beautiful day and to God for giving us great weather so we could publically honor Mary.
