The youth group from Holy Family-St. Thomas Aquinas parish, Park Slope, joined their counterparts at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Kensington, for Brooklyn’s very own World Youth Day 2014.

The youth from the Park Slope parishes of St. Francis Xavier and St. Augustine also joined in the celebration.

Father Robert B. Adamo and Sister Mary Ann Ambrose, C.S.J., from Immaculate Heart of Mary hosted the event.

It was an evening of prayer, reflection, pizza and sharing of the experience of World Youth Day 2013 in Rio de Janeiro.

“It was special to share this event with other parishes from our deanery,” said MaryAnn Walsh, the youth minister for Holy Family-St. Thomas Aquinas. “God is good!”
