Our Youth

Following Jesus, From Palms to Cross

tolentine2

tolentine1Holy Week is a special time for the Youth and Young Adults of St. Nicholas of Tolentine parish, Jamaica.

They gathered together with the parish at the 10:45 a.m. Mass on Palm Sunday, reenacting Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem to start the Mass. Then, during the Gospel, they performed the Passion of Jesus.

On Wednesday, after The Tablet goes to press, the Youth will have gathered for their annual lock-in retreat, which is led by youth minister Christina Rosado and the young adults.

They will have culminated their Holy Week activities with their annual Living Stations of the Cross on Good Friday at noon. The tradition of the youth and young adults of remembering the Lord’s Passion with the Living Stations has gone back almost 20 years.

For information on St. Nicholas of Tolentine’s youth and young adult activities, contact the rectory at 718-969-3226 and leave a message for Rosado or Rose Ruesing, or send an e-mail to the group at SNTYouthMinistry@gmail.com.
