On Thursday, Jan. 7, 23 men from Cathedral Prep School and Seminary, Elmhurst, and three men from Xaverian H.S., Bay Ridge, were moved after experiencing Project Andrew, an opportunity for young men to learn about the priesthood.
Youth Views: What’s your take on New Year’s resolutions?
I believe that New Year’s resolutions are a great thing to do. Setting goals for yourself motivates you to continue climbing the mountain and reach its highest peak. It gives me, personally, drive and ambition.

What is a sacrifice that you’ve made that was worth it?
A sacrifice in my life that I’ve made was giving up my time to altar serve, but at the end of the day, it made me feel better as a person.

YV: What is a sacrifice that you’ve made that was worth it?
I gave up my summer vacation to go to work and earn money. It was a great experience since I paid for my food and traveling expenses with the money I earned. I understand a little better how the world works.
Teens think vocation
Recently, the youth ministry of St. Sebastian’s parish, Woodside, Queens, embarked on two trips to encourage young people to deepen their faith and discern well their God-given vocations.

I personally feel this means that people should be focusing more on their faith. I can relate to this because I sometimes see how I worry more about what’s going on and I leave my faith behind. This inspires me to strengthen my faith.
