Father Martin A. Kirby, a retired priest of the Diocese of Brooklyn, died on March 5 at Chapin Home for the Aging, Jamaica, where he was living since 2014. He was 77.

Carmela Vassalotti, mother of Father Thomas F. Vassalotti, a priest of the Diocese of Brooklyn who is now pastor of Divine Mercy Parish, Williamsburg, died on Feb. 26. Her funeral Mass was offered on March 2 at Divine Mercy, and her burial was at St. John Cemetery, Middle Village.

Bertolotti, a priest of the Diocese of Brooklyn who is now serving as parochial vicar at St. Mary Star of the Sea – St. Gertrude Parish, Far Rockaway, died on Feb. 26. Her funeral Mass was held on March 3 at St. Athanasius Church, Bensonhurst. Her burial was at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn.
