Dear Editor: It is astonishing some commentators have called the people in the Sri Lanka Easter massacre ‘Easter Worshippers’ (“Easter Attacks on Churches in Sri Lanka Are Tragic, but Hardly Surprising,” April 27). It is not correct. We worship the Trinity not the high holy day of Easter.
We are the most persecuted religion in the world. Never did I dream when asked in Catholic school if I would die for Jesus that question would become real in my lifetime – in America. In this country, Catholics are victims of 5 percent of hate crimes. That’s not including the percentages of all Christian denominations. Please, vote wisely and remember the politicians that can’t say or minimize Christian persecution.
