Letters to the Editor

A Disturbing Proposal

Dear Editor: I have contacted both Republican and Democrat senators and Legislative members about the wording in this bill (“Gov. Cuomo Vows to Pass Abortion Rights Bill,” The Tablet, Jan. 12). I am very disturbed about aborting a full term baby. I have asked for a copy of this bill.

  1. I am surprised that people are upset about Cuomo passing the abortion bill that he promised to pass. If people didn’t want that, why did they vote for Cuomo? Why do you vote for democrats at all? That is what they stand for primarily, in addition to bigger government, more taxes, lbgtq rights and open borders. You pick up a scorpion and you are surprised when it stings you? I really have to go online and change my party affiliation. I am still registered as a democrat.

  2. Dear editor,
Is Gov. Cuomo still considered a Catholic ? Has any bishop excommunicated him yet? If not, why not? What about Nancy Pelosi and other Catholic politicians who directly promote abortion? As I remember, a cardinal officiated at Edward Kennedy’s funeral. The silence of the leaders of the church speaks volumes to those in the pew: that abortion is an issue with minimal importance in our religion .
