The Seventh Commandment means to me that you have to be grateful for what you have and not try to take something from someone else because it never belonged to you. Be happy with what you have and let God help you with the rest.

To me, the Seventh Commandment means that I should not take other people’s property but also that I should not criticize others or put them down because that is stealing a piece of who they are by making them feel bad.

I feel that the Seventh Commandment can be interpreted as: “Do not steal people’s personal rights.” For example, everyone has the right to go to school and be educated, but many young girls in other countries are forbidden to learn by their government.

The Seventh Commandment, “You Shall Not Steal,” is not only the literal sense of taking from another, but also so much more. To me it means also protecting our environment and not taking too much for selfish reasons.

The Seventh Commandment means that you shall not take any item that is not your own possession. Our faith calls us to do the works of God. We have to give to others, not take from them.
