In July, St. Edmund Prep students ventured on a long journey to Australia, where they were greeted by students and administration from St. Aidan’s Anglican Girls’ School.

During their 15-day stay, students toured the many natural wonders of Australia including the rainforest, the Great Barrier Reef and the Australian Zoo, which is owned by Steve Irwin’s family.

The Prep students quickly learned that wildlife is respected in Australia.

Recently, the young women from Australia were hosted by the St. Edmund Prep students who went to Australia during the summer. In addition to attending classes at the Prep, the school took the visitors to the Statue of Liberty, the 9/11 Memorial, to see Phantom of the Opera and on a walking tour of Times Square.

On the weekends, the host families took the girls to see a Yankees game, on a cruise line tour of Manhattan and on other wonderful trips.
