Unite Behind the Winners

Dear Editor: This year I turned 86 years of age. During my life, it has always been my opinion that people of the world admired and had respect for our country due to, in part, the unity and strength of our citizens; and that through our political system we remained united in doing what was best for our country, politics aside.

Winners of the election ruled by carrying out the “will of the people.” And the people supported the winners, their party not withstanding. If we can get back to that way of living, we will and will continue to be looked upon as world leaders.

It seems, however, that embers of the Democratic Party don’t see it that way. Rather, they view this year’s election results as their opportunity to take over the party leadership by organizing members not to accept the recent loss but to support them in destroying the winners.

It has never been that way. Win or lose, we unite in support of the people in office. I don’t believe all Democratic Party voters feel this way because a few of their members don’t want to follow “the American Way.”

What these “nuts” are really seeking is a political revolution, and ignoring the people’s choice.
