The sound of laughter has returned to summer camps and programs across the Diocese of Brooklyn.

Preachers of Christ and Mary, an order of religious sisters that was founded in 1995 in Colombia and that has been doing missionary work in Brooklyn since 2004, has made the Diocese of Brooklyn its official home.
At the age of 35, Sister Lucy Mendez, P.C.M. is older than most college students, she’s a nun, and she worked full time while pursuing her degree.
Called to preach the Gospel through the media, women religious of the Preachers of Christ and Mary are working in cooperation with DeSales Media Group to expand evangelization efforts in the diocese.
