For weeks leading into Christmas, more than 500 entries poured into the Tablet Newspaper offices filled with colorful pieces of artwork created by students from Catholic academies, high schools and churches from around the diocese. Once again, handcrafted as labors of love, the young artists’ work showcased how they keep Christ in the Christmas season.
The 2018 “Keep Christ in Christmas” Art Contest, the Tablet’s annual art collaboration with the Archbishop John Hughes Council of the Knights of Columbus.
Winning The Tablet’s annual Keep Christ in Christmas Art Contest takes craftsmanship, dedication, attention to detail and for the special theme this year, it will also mean reflecting on a specific passage in the Old Testament: Deuteronomy 10: 17-19.
