Students at St. Saviour’s H.S., Park Slope, were awarded with the title of “Best School Unit” at the 2016 Irish American Parade in Manhattan. They received the recognition during a May 21 ceremony at the annual Donegal Hill Gathering and Tara Festival at Holy Name parish’s Shepherd’s Hall.
Among the senior members of the school’s Gaelic Society was Grace Marie Sullivan, 2015 Colleen Queen of the Great Irish Fair of New York. A proud third-generation Irish-American, Sullivan has her sights set on pre-med studies and collegiate-level softball next fall.
Another proud member of the Gaelic Society is this year’s Tablet All Scholastic Student Victoria Marie Nilsen. An outstanding student-athlete, Nilsen is attending George Washington University in the fall. She will major in systems engineering.
