Students from The Mary Louis Academy, Jamaica Estates; St. Edmund Prep H.S., Sheepshead Bay, and St. Joseph H.S., Downtown Brooklyn, joined with others in Dag Hammarskjold Plaza near the United Nations to commemorate the kidnapping of the students in Chibok, Nigeria. Ayana Gay, a senior from St. Joseph, said the students came to “be the voice for those whose voices have been taken away” and to call upon the United Nations and governments around the world to find these girls, and any others who are unjustly imprisoned, and set them free.
