Dear Editor: I take offense of the cartoon you printed in the July 27, 2019 issue.  To show a depiction of the pharmaceutical industry as a greedy industry raising prices of pharmaceuticals by thousands of a percent is very deceitful.

The average increase per year is closer to 10 percent. Also, showing the industry as wantonly “distributing drugs to individuals” is very deceitful. The industry abides by all laws and would never encourage the distribution of opioids without a legal prescription.
