Dear Editor: I am responding to the “Not a Fan of the President” letter by Edward Wawrynek (July 1-July 8).

He asks, “How can any ethical voter not oppose Trump’s policies and plans?”

He seems to forget that President Trump is the lawfully elected President of the United States and the voters who elected him support his policies and plans.

The Tablet’s urging of all Americans to give the President a chance and to curtail the negativity towards his Administration is perfectly reasonable advice.
