Get to Know the 2017- 2018 VBCC Youth Ambassadors

For Black Catholic History Month, we’re highlighting the 2017 – 2018 VBCC Youth Ambassadors. Every week in November, you’ll get to learn more about who they are!

Justin David

School: Eagle Academy II

Parish: St. Matthew, Crown Heights

Grade: Junior

Being a Vicariate of Black Catholic Concerns Leader means that you are presented with opportunities to not only help out within the community and make it a better place, but also to go out and explore the world, meeting new people while sharing your faith with everyone around you. Being an Ambassador shows others who are in need of a helping hand that you’re there to give one. It opens your eyes to new and improved ways to be a benefactor to the community.

Kayla Joseph Oliverre

School: Cathedral High School

Parish: St. Matthew, Crown Heights

Grade: Senior

Being a Vicariate of Black Catholic Concerns Leader means that I have a responsibility to bring Christ to other young people that I encounter.
