Before sending youngsters on Easter vacation, the early childhood program at St. Joan of Arc School, Jackson Heights, held its annual Easter Parade. Children wore their Easter Sunday best and decorated their own Easter bonnets. They paraded through the entire school, while their classmates in grades one through eight cheered them on in the hallways. The same students began Lent with a Mardi Gras Parade and celebrated the school’s Irish heritage with a St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
