Each year at noon on Holy Saturday, Our Lady of Hope hosts the blessing of the Easter meal. More than 300 people bring colorfully decorated food baskets to the sanctuary, and a blessing is celebrated in English, Italian, Polish and German. The blessing comes from the Book of Blessings and is followed by a German choir singing “Holy God, We Praise Thy Name.” The people come dressed in Easter attire.
