Catholic Schools Week 2018

Queen of All Saints Catholic Academy

Unique Education Designed for the 21st Century

Neighborhoods may change, but a solid educational foundation never goes out of style. Queen of All Saints Catholic Academy has been a part the Fort Greene community for nearly 50 years. The academy takes a unique approach to provide a faith based education enhanced with modern technology.

The academy provides an outstanding educational curriculum serving students in kindergarten through grade eight. It provides for the complete development of every student in all aspects: moral, social, physical, spiritual and intellectual.

Every student’s educational needs are recognized through differentiated learning and bringing STEM to the forefront. The academy has lead the diocese in the use of the internationally acclaimed Mathletics online math learning space.

The academy has won the diocesan wide Annual Math Bowl in 2015, 2016, and 2017 – three years in a row! The Silicon Alley based Tynker coding platform is integrated into different subjects and grade levels. Queen of All Saints also maintains its partnership St. Joseph’s College and Bishop Loughlin M.H.S. for students to take advanced courses in math and music.

Middle school students improve their literary skills learning current events using the Achieve 3000. In 2017, the academy started the 4H STEM Club in conjunction with the Cornell University Cooperative Extension. The club has regular gatherings to explore nature using technology.

The academy also fosters an appreciation for the arts and social development. Ballroom Basix provides enrichment classes and performances at schoolwide events. During the spring of 2018, students will develop acting skills with BAM Shakespeare Residency, which will culminate in a performance at its landmark theatre.

The school hosts various extracurricular activities for students. Activities include, but are not limited to, educational trips, piano, yoga and basketball.

Staff and faculty serve the community and are willing to work with parents in every possible way toward the success and happiness of every student.
