Catholic Migration Services conducted two dinners on successive Fridays to honor the recipients of this year’s Shining Star Awards presented to parishioners of the diocese’s ethnic ministries for their service to the Church in Brooklyn and Queens. Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio, assisted by Father Patrick Keating, chief executive officer of Catholic Migration Services, made the presentations

The Catholic Migration Office presented its first Founders’ Award in memory of Bishop Francis J. Mugavero and Cardinal Anthony Bevilacqua to Msgr. Ronald Marino, vicar for Migrant and Ethnic Apostolates, for 35 years of service to immigrants. Making the presentation is Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio and Father Patrick Keating, chief executive officer of Catholic Migration Services.
