Irish-born community activist Mary Nolan is receiving the Paul O’Dwyer Award, named in memory of the nationally recognized civil rights leader and defender of the Irish cause in the U.S.
P.O. Edward Byrne Memorial Award – NYPD Assistant Chief Michael Shea
At this year’s Great Irish Fair, NYPD Assistant Chief Michael E. Shea is receiving the Police Officer Edward Byrne Award, named in memory of New York City Police Officer Edward Byrne who was killed in the line of duty at age 22.
