Dear Editor: This letter is prompted by the recent onslaught of anti-Tablet letters. Our new president is a benediction after 24 consecutive years of quixotic, when not immoral, leadership in Washington, D.C.
Letters to the Editor
We welcome letters to the Readers’ Forum, but they must include (for verification purposes) the writer’s full name, home address and phone numbers. Letters with incomplete information won’t be considered for publication. Your name may be withheld upon request, after verification is completed. Letters signed simply “Name Withheld” are not considered for print. Letters should be as brief as possible, and, of course, all letters are subject to editing. Letters containing the proviso “Do Not Edit” also are not considered. You can submit your letter by clicking the button below.
Hallowed Be His Name
Dear Editor: In movies and on cable television the name of God the Father and the name of Jesus are taken in vain so casually and often times very profanely. A good, and representative example of this on cable TV, is the award-winning “Homeland.”
Did He Say That?
Dear Editor: In response to Kenneth Farley (April 1), I will avoid remarking on many of the points he makes in his letter, presented with sophisticated rhetoric, but no researchable citations for the “facts” he puts forward.

‘Amoris’ Discussion Continues

CWVs Return to Astoria
Dear Editor: I just saw the two-page City of Churches spread on Immaculate Conception Church in Astoria (March 4). As the N.Y. State Commander of the Catholic War Veterans and the Commander of Astoria Post 1 in the Immaculate Conception parish, I want to thank you for printing that article.
Wide Range of Opinions
Dear Editor: The Readers’ Forum of The Tablet is truly remarkable by its variety of voices and opinions. The Tablet easily wins in this regard when compared to so-called “mainstream media.”
Standards for Entry to US
Dear Editor: When Ellis Island was the entry point of immigrants coming from Europe, my paternal grandfather left Poland and his family for a better life here in America. As he earned sufficient money as a laborer to bring his wife and daughter to our shores, my Aunt Stella was denied entry due to a health […]
