Winning The Tablet’s annual Keep Christ in Christmas Art Contest takes craftsmanship, dedication, attention to detail and for the special theme this year, it will also mean reflecting on a specific passage in the Old Testament: Deuteronomy 10: 17-19.
For the 10th consecutive year, colorful expressions of faith were on display at The Tablet’s annual Keep Christ in Christmas Art Contest award ceremony Jan. 25. Out of the nearly 1,000 student-entries, only 11 winners were selected to celebrate their creative achievements at the Archbishop John Hughes Knights of Columbus Council, Dyker Heights.
The Keep Christ in Christmas Student Art Contest (Grades 1-12) Deadline is Dec. 15.

Members of The Tablet editorial staff along with an artists, an educator and a communications person from DeSales Media Group, Inc., the parent company of The Tablet, voted on the entries.
Over 700 young artists from throughout Brooklyn and Queens, ranging from first to 12th grade, submitted entries visualizing their interpretations of the theme, Keep Christ in Christmas. Here is a list of all the winners and honorable mentions.
