Msgr. McClancy H.S. graduate Anthony Iapoce was recently named the hitting coach of the Chicago Cubs. The 45-year-old spent the past three seasons as the hitting coach for the Texas Rangers.

This past June, Dennnis McDermott retired after 17 years as the director of alumni relations at his college alma mater, St. Francis College, Brooklyn Heights. The campus on Remsen Street will not be the same with the “Face of St. Francis” roaming around.
