Dear Editor: Thank you for inviting me to submit (and publishing) my summer reading list (“What the Diocese is Reading,” July 20). It is an honor to be in the company of such luminaries.

When you look at my list you will see that it was meant to be “stress-free“ during these very stressful times. Thus I submitted books about the Mets, humor and “useless information”!

I sincerely hope your readers will get a chance to really relax a bit during what may be a very hot summer.

Please note that I was misidentified as being in St. Kevin’s which is a wonderful neighboring parish. I am still a proud long-time member of and the historian for Saint Andrew Avellino parish.
