Pope Has Been Quick to Judge In The Past
Dear Editor: In the Sept. 4 article by Inés San Martin (“Afghan Withdrawal Failed to Foresee ‘All the Eventualities’ “), Pope Francis says, “I don’t want to judge. … They didn’t take into account all the eventualities.”
As a matter of fact, he (Pope Francis) is quick to judge traditional Catholics, those questioning the COVID vaccines, climate change objectors, capitalism, the Traditional Latin Mass, and countries having borders.

Mourning Our Soldiers Lost In Afghanistan
Dear Editor: Our hearts are heavy every day with the grief we feel for the families of those 13 servicemen and servicewomen who needlessly lost their lives in Afghanistan, and we send them our deepest gratitude and condolences. Our Catholic faith sustains us in the belief that their ultimate sacrifice has earned all those beloved souls a place in heaven.
But the stark reality of those that enabled and blindly supported a cognitively deficient man of mind and character to become president of the United States compels us to speak up and soundly denounce them all.
From First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, the primary enabler, to all those in the press who never challenged their candidate, Biden, to answer the tough questions required of him as they did former candidates, and to all those whose job it was to defend and protect our nation and military, namely: Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs. Thanks to them, our nation’s status as the superpower of the world has been greatly diminished because we have lost the trust and respect of our allies, and we have jeopardized their safety and our own leaving behind a terrorist haven for the future, as well as billions of dollars of American made military equipment to the delight of the Taliban and other terrorists.
Someone should pay for this dereliction of duty and the American people should demand it now.

Please Fly the American Flag on 9/11
Dear Editor: Here is an idea for all Americans, to not only remember those brave men and women who lost their lives on that day of infamy but, I hope, to show support for our brave men and women who are serving in the military.
On September 11th, I feel all Americans should fly the American flag outside their homes, apartments, offices, and stores throughout the United States. Every individual should make it their duty to display the American flag on the anniversary of our country’s worst tragedy.
We should do this in honor of all who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends, and loved ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who are fighting at home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms. In the days, weeks, and months that followed 9/11, our country was bathed in American flags, as citizens mourned the incredible losses and stood shoulder-to-shoulder against terrorism. Sadly, those flags have all but disappeared. Our patriotism pulled us through some hard times and it shouldn’t take another attack to galvanize us into solidarity again.
The American flag is the fabric of our country and together we can prevail over terrorism of all kinds. Now, I call for this as a veteran of the U.S. Navy who served in the Vietnam era, a member of the American Legion Post 103 in Douglaston, Grand Knight of St. Anastasia Knights of Columbus, a member of the Queens Village Republican Club, and a member of the Catholic War Veterans.
As such, please fly the American flag on 9/11. I thank you in advance for your participation and may God bless you and may God bless America.

Catholics and Vaccines, Mandates, and Abortion
Dear Editor: Working over 40 years in Medical Hospitals and surgical and diagnostic centers with much exposure to infectious diseases and AIDS patients, I am increasingly appalled how our medical institutes are so politically charged as to not stand up to this corrupt CDC, WHO, and Biden Administration — who many, on the board of Big Pharma, halted the use of medicines that would have saved countless lives in earlier stages of COVID-19.
Instead, we have bishops and religious groups promoting those vaccines using aborted babies’ stem cells at what cost to our Faith and of Jesus’ tenets. This will promote and abet pro-abortion advocates who already dismiss the validity of a child’s life at conception. Are these children’s lives worth less than adults who are pushed to get these vaccines? Where are the Church leaders speaking against Biden and his anti-Catholic stand pushing transgender politics and pro-abortion politics that believes it’s okay to abort Down’s Syndrome children claiming they have no worth. Both he and Pelosi have continually mocked our faith. Why aren’t they excommunicated?
Saying you are a Catholic doesn’t make it so. Pope Francis better shift his eyes on these issues instead of the climate crisis because even there, multiple false information is pushed. We cannot control hurricanes or earthquakes — they have occurred since the written word.
