The Diocese of Brooklyn will participate in the 24 Hours of Prayer for the Lord March 4-5, as requested by Pope Francis. The diocesan School of Evangelization will sponsor a program at the Cathedral-Basilica of St. James, Downtown Brooklyn, to pray and celebrate as a diocesan family.
The program will include a Penance Service with individual Confession, Holy Hour with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Evening Prayer on Friday. On Saturday, there will be Morning Mass, extended Confession times, continued Adoration, special activity for families, and the Closing Mass at 5 p.m. which will be the rescheduled Pro-Vita Awards liturgy.
