Sister Marion McLinden, O.P., a longtime teacher in the Diocese of Brooklyn and a member of the Sisters of St. Dominic, the Congregation of the Holy Cross, Amityville, for 66 years, died on Sept. 20. She was 84.

Sister Kathleen Frances Lindsay, O.P., the founding principal of Our Lady of Hope’s parish school in Middle Village and a member of the Dominican Sisters of Amityville for 82 years, died on Sept. 26. She was 100.

Paul Stanton, 66, chairman of the Catholic Committee on Scouting for the Diocese of Brooklyn, died on Oct. 5. His funeral Mass was celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Windsor Terrace, on Oct. 9.
