Marriage is the manifestation of trust. The ability to have a specific individual with whom you can share your dreams, insecurities and even beliefs takes a great deal of trust. This can only be done effectively by making a commitment of this magnitude in the presence of everyone and everything you hold dear.

My parents recently celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary. Marriage is something that has always been important to my family. We believe that the love and devotion between two people helps to strengthen both of them. My brother and I were the result of my parents’ loving and happy marriage. Even when things get rough, we work through things together, which I do not believe would be possible if my parents were not married.

I see marriages all the time and aspire to be like that. I see marriage as the ultimate commitment of love and loyalty. I look forward to having someone who loves me as he loves himself. I can’t wait to see if marriage is the path for me. (I hope it is.)
