Members of the Parish Vocation Committee from Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, Ridgewood, along with its pastor, Father Anthony Sansone, seated at right, brought members of their youth group to the House of Discernment in Cypress Hills for an evening of prayer and discussion. The group had dinner with Father Kevin Abels, diocesan vocation director, and met some of the eight residents currently living at the house. After dinner, Father Abels conducted a chapel service and asked the group “What does it mean to be a young disciple?” and “Why would you want to be part of a parish youth group?” The committee members called the visit very successful and informative.
