Lay Ministry Sunday will be celebrated in the diocese with a special vespers service at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Forest Hills, on Sunday, Feb. 10, beginning at 4:30 p.m. Dr. Robert McCarty, executive director of the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry, will speak about the state of lay ministry in light of the 50th anniversary of Vatican II. A light reception will follow.

Auxiliary Bishop Frank Caggiano will lead the prayer service.
