NYPD Nabs Rick Pitino Burglary Suspect

Police from the 107th Precinct have arrested a Long Island City man in connection with the robbery of St. John’s University basketball coach Rick Pitino’s office.

Emanuel Yakubov was nabbed at 9 p.m. Friday, according to a NYPD arrest record.

Yakubov, 25, was charged with third-degree burglary, petit larceny, third-degree criminal trespassing, and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

The suspect allegedly took memorabilia including a signed basketball, a bullhorn and a ceremonial dagger.
