Thomas J. Quigley, Ph.D.

Professor Quigley

Thomas J. Quigley, Ph.D., a long-time chemistry and physics professor at St. Francis College, Brooklyn Heights, died on Feb. 19.

A 1952 graduate of St. Francis College, he was an alumni board member and former faculty adviser to the athletic department. Only two days before his death, he was presented the game ball at the men’s basketball contest between the Terriers and Fairleigh Dickinson.

He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Feb. 23 at Our Lady of Angels Church, Bay Ridge.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Catherine, and their sons, Thomas and James, and four grandchildren.

A scholarship fund in his honor has been established at St. Francis.

Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island.
