Dear Editor: Great story about “Oisk” in the Bobby Thomson homerun game (“Brooklyn Can’t Forget the Pride of Anderson, Ind.,” May 25). It was a sad day in Brooklyn.

I believe that Carl and Ralph Branch were warming up in the bullpen to relieve Don Newcombe. Branca was selected and the rest is history. I saw that on my circular Dumont TV.
