Dear Editor: In the May 20th edition of The Tablet’s Youth Page, six high school students in “Youth Views” were asked the question “How has your mother impacted your life”?

While all answers appeared to be well thought about, they all seemed to miss the obvious answer.

I know the greatest gift and biggest impact my mom had on me (and I am sure that most if not all people would concur) was giving me the gift of life which no one else (besides my father) gave me.

All six of these students were born after 1973, thus they all survived “Roe vs Wade,” the Supreme Court decision making abortion legal in the USA.
