Dear Editor: On behalf of all of us at Hour Children — our board, staff and the women and children we are privileged to serve — I am writing to thank you and the wonderful readers of The Tablet for the very kind support that came to us through 2019’s Bright Christmas Fund. We are humbled by your generosity and grateful for your support!

Because of your kindness, Hour Children was able to provide a wonderful and joyous Christmas celebration for over 350 mothers and children. For our mothers, it was a day filled with music, food, the renewal of old friendships, and the beautiful experience of being able to give gifts to their children.

Our children and our young people were thrilled by games and fun, the unwrapping of presents and a visit from Santa, but most importantly, by being able to share the beauty of Christmas with their mothers.

In the holy season of Christmas, when we ponder the generosity of our God and the holiness of family life, we thank you for your generosity to the families of Hour Children. We pray that the year ahead bring a host of blessings to you and all those you love.

Let us pray for each other as we live the Gospel fully!
