Ten Years of Laity Training

The Pastoral Institute’s Lay Ministry Program will celebrate its tenth year of formation and training of lay persons on June 16.  Celebrating Lay Ministry: Working in the Vineyard of the Lord will be celebrated at a Mass and reception at the Immaculate Conception Center, Douglaston.  Sister Angela Gannon, C.S.J., diocesan

Secretary for Catholic Education and Formation and former Director of the Pastoral Institute, will be the guest of honor in recognition of her advocacy for lay ministry in the Diocese.

The proceeds from the event will be used to fund current and future initiatives, such as additional language offerings for the ten-week Foundations for Ministry Program, supplementing Lay Ministry Sunday activities and providing scholarships for needy participants and parishes.
