More Parishes Reach Appeal Goals

Responses to the 2012 Annual Catholic Appeal, Sharing Our Gifts to Build God’s Kingdom in Brooklyn and Queens, continues to grow.  After conducting in-pew weekends in the parishes of the Diocese, pledges have exceeded $6.1 million with actual receipts exceeding $3.75 million from over 24,800 donors.

As of April 20, the following additional parishes have reached their diocesan goal in pledges:
St. Michael, Sunset Park, 176.07%
St. Bonaventure-St. Benedict the Moor, Jamaica,161.31%
St. Mary Mother of Jesus, Bensonhurst,141.14%
Blessed Sacrament, Jackson Heights,    140.98%
All Saints, Fort Greene, 127.91%
St. Michael, Flushing, 121.32%
Mary Queen of Heaven, Mill Basin, 113.24%
St. Francis of Assisi – St. Blaise, Crown Heights, 111.63%
St. Jerome, East Flatbush, 111.26%
Our Lady of Miracles,    Canarsie,    109.93%
St. Joan of Arc, Jackson Heights,    108.68%
St. Elizabeth,    Ozone Park, 101.19%
St. Robert Bellarmine,    Bayside,    100.73%
Ascension, Elmhurst,100.27%
St. Rosalia-Regina Pacis, Bensonhurst, 100.11%
Two more parishes have already gone over their goal in receipts.    They are:  American Martyrs, Bayside, and Our Lady of the Rosary of Pompeii, Williamsburg.  All receipts over the goal are returned to the parishes.
