Dear Editor: I want to thank Maria-Pia Negro Chin for the great article “Queens Teen Has Heart Set on a Medical Career” (April 23) on Gregory Nelson.

The Nelson family can’t thank her enough for taking time out of her busy schedule to write such a well articulated piece. Gregory has since received many congratulations from our parish, as well as a request from a New Jersey parishioner/teacher asking for him to periodically pen-pal his students.
