Altar Server of the Month

St. Bartholomew, Elmhurst, highlighted its March 2017 Altar Server of the Month, Amando Dominguez, who serves the parish’s 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Spanish Masses.

Faith and Service in the City

St. John’s University, Jamaica, will offer a week-long summer opportunity for high school student leaders, Faith and Service in the City. It emphasizes Catholic and Vincentian leadership, spirituality, and service. The program will be held at the SJU campus on the following weeks: July 9-15, July 23 – 29, July 30 – Aug. 5 and Aug. 6 – 12. The cost, including tuition, room and board, and all activities, is $495. There is a limited number of need-based scholarships available to help offset the cost. The program website, http://www.stjohns.edu/vli includes a student application.
